J. O’Connell & Associates is pleased to announce through our services that the Village of Spring Valley has been awarded $100,000 the first year and increasing sums in three subsequent years to fight crime, close nuisance bars and encourage collaborative law enforcement, while building trust with the community.
This funding was secured through the U.S. Department of Justice Weed and Seed program. Funding is intended to first weed out crime – particularly drug-related or violent offenses – and then seed the community with programs to encourage gang prevention and the development of youth services and community restoration. Spring Valley was 1 of only 15 new Weed & Seed sites designated this year.
