J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Lancaster was awarded $100,000 to replace sanitary sewer lines on Brady and Cambria Streets.

This funding was secured through the Erie County Community Development Block Grant Program.

$761,603 In Consolidated Funding Awards

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc.is pleased to announce that through our services grant funding in the amount of $761,603 was secured in the 2017 NYS Consolidated Funding Application – Regional Economic Development Council Initiative.

Individual Client Awards:

Town of Urbana was awarded a $683,603 Local Waterfront Revitalization Program Implementation Grant through the NYS Office of Parks Recreation & Historic Preservation.

Village of Lancaster was awarded $56,000 to conduct a Sewer System Evaluation Survey and create a Corrective Action Plan through the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.

Village of Lancaster was awarded $22,000 to conduct an Extreme Weather Vulnerability Assessment to address flooding and increased snowfall through the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.

Village of Holley Awarded $1.2 Million

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Holley was awarded a $1,254,000 Water Grant to replace 9,050 linear feet of water main along with fire hydrants, valves, water service transfers and Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition System.

This funding was secured through the NYS EFC Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WAII) – Drinking Water Program.

Town of Orchard Park Awarded $500K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Town of Orchard Park was awarded $500,000 toward construction of their new Multi-Generational Community Center. This complex will offer space and activities for children, young adults, families and seniors all under one roof.

This funding was secured through the State and Municipal Facilities Program.

Medaille College Awarded $1.2 Million

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services Medaille College was awarded a $1,287,500 Upward Bound Math Science Grant paid out at $257,500 per year for five years. This program will provide eligible high school students access to hands-on learning activities, faculty researchers and laboratory space; as well as, exposure to and experience with a variety of well-paying local jobs in the medical and scientific fields. The Upward Bound Program, containing a comprehensive range of academic services, is designed to improve academic achievement, retention and graduation.

This funding was secured through the United States Department of Education.

Ridge-Culver Fire District Awarded $1.5 Million

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Ridge-Culver Fire District was awarded $1,537,916 to replace portable and mobile radios for seven fire districts within the Monroe County area.

This funding was secured through the FEMA – Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.

Village of Spring Valley Awarded $192K

This funding was secured through the Rockland County Community Development Block Grant Program.

Town of Whitestown Awarded $200K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Town of Whitestown was awarded $200,000 to make improvements to Wyman Park.

This funding was secured through the State and Municipal Facilities Program.

$128,858 in NYS Archives Awards

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the following clients received grant funding through the New York State Archives – Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund (LGRMIF) Program:

Town of Orchard Park  ~  $61,240  for records inventory and minor remodeling;

Franklinville CSD  ~  $42,516  implementation of document conversion and access project;

Town of East Bloomfield  ~  $25,102  reorganization of records into fire resistant cabinets.       

The New York State Archives offers grant awards to support, promote and recognize sound archival and records management practices, as well as, to encourage creative and valuable uses of archival records.

Medaille College Awarded $1.2 M

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services Medaille College was awarded a $1.2 Million Upward Bound Grant paid out at $257,500 per year for five years. Upward Bound is designed to assist high school students from low-income families and from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree in completing their secondary education and enrolling in and graduating from institutions of postsecondary education.
