J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Seymour Library, located in Brockport, NY, was awarded $75,301 to renovate two existing spaces at the library, into four study rooms for tutors, small group study and those looking for a quiet space to work.

This funding was secured through the NYS Education Department – Library Construction Grant Program.

Town of Orchard Park Awarded $100K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Town of Orchard Park was awarded $100,575 for renovations to the Town/Village animal shelter to provide a safer, healthier environment for stray dogs.

This funding was secured through the New York State Companion Animal Capital Fund.

Beverly Animal Shelter Awarded $165K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Beverly Animal Shelter was awarded $165,750 to build a new dog kennel with ten indoor/outdoor dog runs.

This funding was secured through the New York State Companion Animal Capital Fund.

Henrietta Fire District Awarded $125K

This funding was secured through the State and Municipal Facilities Program.

Buffalo Public Schools/City of Buffalo Awarded $500K

July 9, 2018

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Buffalo Public Schools/City of Buffalo was awarded $500,000 for the planning/design of facility upgrades which will enhance access to Buffalo’s recreational and athletic opportunities.

This funding was secured through the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation.

$293,956 in NYS Archives Awards

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the following clients received grant funding through the New York State Archives – Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund (LGRMIF) Program:

Village of Brockport  ~  $74,324 for shared digitization of records with the Town of Sweden;

 Village of Lancaster  ~  $30,713 for digitization of maps;

 Town of Macedon  ~  $50,545 to create NYSA approved records storage room – move records;

 Town of Orchard Park  ~  $73,711 for inventory of inactive records;

 Town of Somers  ~  $18,850 for document conversion;

 Town of Spring Valley  ~  $18,633 for digitization of records;

 Town of Whitestown  ~  $27,180 for inventory of records.                                                                       

 The New York State Archives offers grant awards to support, promote and recognize sound archival and records management practices, as well as, to encourage creative and valuable uses of archival records.

Buffalo Religious Arts Center Awarded $100K

Town of Orchard Park Awarded $200K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Town of Orchard Park was awarded $200,000 toward repairs of Hennepin Bridge.

This funding was secured through the NYS Department of Transportation.

Town of East Bloomfield Awarded $300K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Holley was awarded a Brownfield Opportunity Area Step 2 grant in the amount of $165,600.

This funding was secured through the New York State Department of State Brownfield Opportunity Areas Program.  This program provides revitalization strategies to transform blighted properties in urban areas into community assets and catalysts for neighborhood-wide revitalization.
