Village of Brockport Awarded $2K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Brockport was awarded $7,000 to completely restore the 72’x144’ mural located above the Lift Bridge Book Shop at 45 Main Street. This larger than life mural is an illustration from Peter Spier’s ERIE CANAL children’s book and reflects the historic fun and function on the Canal. The painted image is part of Mural Mania, the longest mural trail in the world along the Erie Canal.
This funding was secured through the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor – Erie Canal Impact! grant.
Village of Brockport Awarded $140,000
December 20, 2019
J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Brockport was awarded $140,000 to make improvements to its existing Welcome Center located on the Erie Canalway at 11 Water Street. The Village will build a permanent 30′ x 20′ electrically-equipped pavilion for performances and gatherings at the Canal front, additional lighting and signage. They will also purchase and install a BoardSafe adaptive dock and launch which will enable those in wheelchairs to independently launch a kayak.
This funding was secured through the NYS Canal Corporation.

Franklinville CSD Awarded $1,000

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Franklinville CSD was awarded $1,000 to enable 50 seventh grade students to participate in programs selected to complement the 7th Grade English curriculum. These programs place special emphasis on the relationship between STEM concepts and the arts (STEAM).
