Town of Gates Awarded $18K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Town of Gates was awarded $18,313 as a 50% reimbursement for the cost of two leaf vacuums purchased for use in the Town’s Leaf Collection Program. Use of the new leaf vacuums has resulted in the Town being able to provide over 10,000 cubic yards of compost annually for free distribution to residents and for use in Town landscaping projects, parks and trails.
This funding was secured through the NYS Department of Energy Conservation – Waste Reduction & Recycling Program.

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. Secures OVER $185,000 IN NYSERDA FUNDING
The Town of Shelter Island has been awarded $24,430 to replace the boiler and heat exchanger at the American Legion Hall/Youth Center with a more efficient boiler and a 40-gallon water heater.
The Town of Clarkson has been awarded $57,456.00 to install a 10.08kW solar electric system on the roof of the Justice Court Building. The system is estimated to generate 11,084kWh annually.
The Town of Clarkson has been awarded $103,412.00 to install a 10.08kW solar electric system on the roof of the Highway Department building. The system is expected to generate 22,634kWh annually.
This funding was secured through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) – American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding.
