Village of Albion Awarded $338,192

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Albion was awarded a $388,192 Main Street Grant. Ten properties containing both commercial and residential units in the Village’s North Main-Bank Street Historic District will be assisted.
This funding was secured through the NY State Office of Community Renewal.
Acacia Park Awarded $3K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services Acacia Park was awarded a $3,676 Technical Assistance Grant (TAG) to evaluate the condition of the stone entryway and Acacia Cemetery office building designed by E.B. Green.
This funding was secured through the Preservation League of New York State.
Village of Brockport Awarded $14K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Brockport was awarded $14,000 to support a National Register of Historic Places District Nomination of approximately 270 properties located on the west side of the Village. The purpose is to preserve the historic, architectural and cultural integrity of the historical area and protect it from insensitive or destructive rehabilitation in the future. Properties in the proposed area date from mid- 1800’s to the early 1900’s.
This funding was secured through the NYS Office of Parks Recreation & Historic Preservation – Certified Local Government Program.
Town of Somers Awarded $3K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Town of Somers was awarded a $3,000 Technical Assistance Grant to conduct a building condition survey of the Elephant Hotel. This Federal style building, constructed in the early 1820’s, is designated as a National Historic Landmark and is currently occupied by the Somers Town Hall on the first two floors, and the Somers Historical Society on the third floor.
This funding was secured through the Preservation League of NYS.
Buffalo Religious Arts Center Awarded $100K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Buffalo Religious Arts Center was awarded $100,000 to continue with their stained glass window cover replacement project.
This funding was secured through the Community Capital Assistance Program.
Village of Brockport Awarded $11K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Brockport was awarded $11,000 for restoration of the Seth Thomas Clock Tower donated to the Village by the Monroe Chapter of the DAR in 1914.
This funding was secured through the Rochester Area Community Foundation.
Village of Brockport Awarded $6K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Brockport was awarded $6,500 to undertake an Intensive Level Historic Resources Survey of properties on the Village’s west side, to submit, for State/National Registers listing, any historic district identified in this area.
This funding was secured through the NYS Office of Parks Recreation & Historic Preservation.
Town/Village of East Rochester Awarded $1,500

Village of Albion Awarded $1,500
