Seymour Library Awarded $75K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Seymour Library, located in Brockport, NY, was awarded $75,301 to renovate two existing spaces at the library, into four study rooms for tutors, small group study and those looking for a quiet space to work.
This funding was secured through the NYS Education Department – Library Construction Grant Program.
Pioneer Central School District Awarded $5,992

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Pioneer Central School District was awarded $5,992 to support the Arcade Elementary School Library’s STEM/STEAM Unit of Learning. This program of Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Mathematics is designed to help nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity.
This funding was secured through the James Patterson/Scholastic Reading Club School Library Grant Program.
Seymour Library Awarded $119K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Seymour Library, located in Brockport, NY,was awarded $119,139 for the construction of a new and expanded Local History Room. This will allow the library adequate space to display items relating to the local history of the Rochester Area, provide community access to local history resources, and allow for greater storage space of historical documents and artifacts depicting Monroe County’s rich history.
This funding was secured through the New York State Education Department – Public Library Construction Program.
Town of Hamlin Awarded $466K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Town of Hamlin was awarded $466,000 for construction of a new 6,000 square foot library. Located in the center of town, this new facility will nearly double the library’s present size, allowing for increased circulation, greater accessibility, and the ability of the library to provide additional services.

Town/Village of East Rochester Awarded $100K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Town/Village of East Rochester was awarded $100,000 to continue with Phase II – relocation of the existing library to the new Town/Village of East Rochester Government Center in the Eyer Building. The new facility will allow the library to provide additional services including larger program areas, greater accessibility, a community room and private study room, and increased availability of computer resources, as well as improved staff efficiencies and reduced operating costs.

Hoag Library Awarded $7K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services The Hoag Library was awarded $7,000 to produce an interpretive, historic display of photographs regarding the Erie Canal in Orleans County. The Library will partner with the Cobblestone Museum and the Albion Central School District. Historians from the Museum will make presentations in conjunction with the displays and children from the school will participate by conducting research on the Canal.
This funding was secured through the National Park Service – Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor.

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce through our services that the Town/Village of East Rochester was awarded $275,224 to assist with the relocation of the existing East Rochester Public Library to the new Town/Village of East Rochester Government Center in the Eyer Building. The Eyer Building, located at 317 Main Street, will be the future location of all Town/Village of East Rochester municipal offices, the library, as well as the Town Court, Police Department, and Senior Center. The new facility will allow the library to provide additional services including larger program areas, greater accessibility, a community room and private study room, and increased availability of computer resources, as well as improved staff efficiencies and reduced operating costs.
