Explore & More Children’s Museum Awarded $885

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services was awarded $885 to fund ‘Iroquois Day of Sharing’. This project is a day-long sharing of Native American Culture, including storytelling, hands-on activities, and lessons about the food traditions of the culture.
This funding was secured through the New York Council of the Humanities.
Explore & More Children’s Museum Awarded $500K

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services Explore & More Children’s Museum was awarded $500,000 toward their capital campaign for the new museum at Canalside. This will include sponsorship of the Museum Café at the new Canalside museum and Explore & More’s assistance with first grade curriculum for the Westminster Community Charter School.
This funding was secured through the M&T Charitable Foundation.
Explore & More Children’s Museum Awarded $5K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services Explore & More Children’s Museum was awarded $5,000 in support of their EnCompass Outreach Program, which presents educational activities at libraries in economically disadvantaged urban and rural areas of Erie County. EnCompass programming is designed to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in children through hands-on exhibits and activities.
This funding was secured through the Josephine Goodyear Foundation.
Explore & More Children’s Museum Awarded $11K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services Explore & More Children’s Museum was awarded $11,750 to help create a ‘Life on the Erie Canal Program’ focused on the early decades of the Erie Canal and fully accessible to children of all abilities. Funding will allow collaboration with the UB Center for Inclusive Design & Environmental Access in order to develop program activities that support the full integration of children with learning disabilities into the play environment.
This funding was secured through The Peter & Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation.

Village of Brockport Awarded $1K

The collection is housed in the Emily L. Knapp Museum and Library of Local History.
