Village of Brockport/Town of Sweden Awarded $113K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Village of Brockport and Town of Sweden were awarded $113,466 to implement a Shared Services Document Conversion and Access project. This project will upgrade paper records to an easily searchable electronic content management system, allowing quick and convenient access.
This funding was secured through the New York State Archives – Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund (LGRMIF) Program:

Village of Brockport ~ $74,324 for shared digitization of records with the Town of Sweden;
Village of Lancaster ~ $30,713 for digitization of maps;
Town of Macedon ~ $50,545 to create NYSA approved records storage room – move records;
Town of Orchard Park ~ $73,711 for inventory of inactive records;
Town of Somers ~ $18,850 for document conversion;
Town of Spring Valley ~ $18,633 for digitization of records;
Town of Whitestown ~ $27,180 for inventory of records.

Town/Village of East Rochester Awarded $1,500

J. O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Town/Village of East Rochester was awarded $1,500 to purchase computer equipment that will be used to organize, inventory, and maintain a computerized database of historical artifacts donated to the village.
This funding was secured through the Rochester Area Community Foundation.

Seymour Library Awarded $119K

O’Connell & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that through our services the Seymour Library, located in Brockport, NY,was awarded $119,139 for the construction of a new and expanded Local History Room. This will allow the library adequate space to display items relating to the local history of the Rochester Area, provide community access to local history resources, and allow for greater storage space of historical documents and artifacts depicting Monroe County’s rich history.
This funding was secured through the New York State Education Department – Public Library Construction Program.
